Las Vegas - Season 4 DVD

Many Las Vegas fans will remember our report from this past March, in which Creator/Exec Producer Gary Scott Thompson talks about extras that he and some of the cast had recorded for 4th Season DVDs. It's been a three-month wait since then, but now NBC-Universal has released word about when those DVDs will be in your hands.




The studio is preparing to advertise in home video industry trade magazines, with a two-page layout of the various TV-on-DVD packages they plan to release this coming fall. A few of the pictured titles are new, and Las Vegas - Season 4 is one of those. The ship date shown in the ad is September 11th, and a cost of $59.98 SRP is also seen. No other info is present, but the box art seen below comes from that ad. Stay tuned and we'll probably have more info for you when the studio makes a formal announcement.

The Office - Season 3 DVD

After some Office gossip went around about a month ago, with rumors of a different release date, the studio is now showing that The Office - Season 3 will hit the time clock on September 4th. The info comes from a two-page trade magazine ad that NBC-Universal will be running in the near future, showing retailers the studio's fall line-up of TV-DVDs. The box art from the ad is shown below, and the cost displayed is $49.98 SRP.




Cast member Jenna Fischer ("Pam") had an accident recently, which we're sure many of you know about. For those of you who don't, last month (May) she was attending a party in New York City for The Office, and fell down a flight of stairs. Her back was reportedly broken in multiple places, but very fortunately there will be no permanent damage. She has a long recovery period, but not so long that she won't be there when the fourth season of the show starts filming. All this is a prelude to comments seen on Fischer's blog at MySpace, which our reader Dave Fowler has tipped us off to. Thanks, Dave! Here's what Jenna says about the 3rd Season DVD extras:

Now…looking to the future…we start back to work on The Office Season 4 in August. I should be almost fully healed by that time. The Season 3 DVD is coming out in early September. We did some DVD commentary recently. I've seen the gag reel and it is AWESOME. You will love it.

Besides having every episode, including 7 that never aired on NBC, we have confirmed that "God is a Comedian" will indeed appear on the set, with Deleted Scenes. We've got the box art for you:

Jericho - Season 1 DVD

A few weeks ago, fans of Jericho (myself included) were able to breathe a sigh of relief when a "nutty" campaign to CBS convinced them to renew the show, and produce a second season for broadcast. At the same time, CBS/Paramount told us that Jericho - The 1st Season would be on DVD on September 25th.



This morning, though, the studio officially posted the release for solicitation to retailers, so the stores (both in your neighborhood, and online) can begin to make plans to stock it on their shelves. The listing showed a new date, however, that was a week later than we were previously told: October 2nd. Other info mentioned a running time of just over 16 hours, which sounds about right for 22 episodes. There's also this description, followed by the never-before-seen box art, featuring the nuclear blast in the distance:

JERICHO is a drama about what happens when a nuclear mushroom cloud suddenly appears on the horizon, plunging the residents of a small, peaceful Kansas town into chaos, leaving them completely isolated and wondering if they're the only Americans left alive. But in this time of crisis, as sensible people become paranoid, personal agendas take over and well-kept secrets threaten to be revealed, some people will find an inner strength they never knew they had and the most unlikely heroes will emerge.
